Abstract
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become a fundamental part of business infrastructure. In an effort to minimize the risk associated with ERP implementation, a number of critical success factors (CSFs) have been developed. However, CSFs are presented as independent from context, under the pretense that all ERP implementations are equal. In this study, we challenged this assumption by focusing on the role of organizational culture on ERP implementation. From a set of representative CSFs, matched to Hofstede's cultural dimensions we studied assumed influences with empirical data. From this we found that organizational culture influence several CSFs associated with ERP implementation. Our findings provide an advantage over a... (More)

From this we found that organizational culture influence several CSFs associated with ERP implementation. Our findings provide an advantage over a generic conception of CSFs, by showing the importance of culture in ERP implementation. (Less)
