Abstract:
Coherence in optics and transport is investigated for quantum cascade lasers. While coherence provides oscillations in the gain recovery if the tunnel coupling surpasses the broadening, incoherent hopping transport can fail in the opposite case. (C) 2008 Optical Society of America
