abstract = {{Presented at the Europan Inter-Sessions Forum (2021), an international platform bringing together winning teams, municipalities, and researchers to discuss the transition from competition ideas to implementation processes, this contribution focuses on Lerum E10, a collaborative project by Marco Pusterla and Jesús Mateo, developed within Europan 10, a European competition and research platform for innovative housing and urban development.

Selected as a case study within the theme “Inhabiting Diversity,” the project explores how housing can engage with natural landscapes through spatial porosity and new relationships between built form and environment. The presentation reflects on the transformation of a competition proposal into an implementation process, highlighting negotiations with local actors and the adaptation of the project to specific contextual and operational conditions.

By addressing the dialogue between design intentions and real-world constraints, the contribution situates the project within broader discussions on housing diversity, urban development, and the integration of natural and built systems.}},
