abstract = {{This working paper examines Sweden’s Covid-19 vaccine procurement and distribution strategy as part of the SCANVAX project on Nordic vaccine diplomacy. Drawing primarily on a review of news media, parliamentary records, government reports and other documentary sources, the study analyses how Sweden worked to procure Covid-19 vaccines to cover the needs of Swedish residents, as well as how Sweden engaged in the global pandemic response and efforts to ensure global vaccine distribution. The paper also examines how tensions between national health security and international solidarity were navigated in public discourse during the pandemic.}},
