  abstract     = {{Presented at the International VISURF Nordic-Baltic Colloquium Visions of Residential Futures (Gothenburg, 2011), part of a NordForsk-supported research network exploring housing transformation and urban living, this contribution introduces Dérive – Lerum, an urban and architectural proposal developed within Europan 10, a European competition platform for innovative housing and urban development.<br/><br/>The project explores alternative approaches to residential futures through psychogeographic methods, drawing on the concept of the dérive to reinterpret the site through drifting, mapping, and narrative construction. By developing a “cartography of meanings,” the proposal reveals latent spatial qualities and constructs a series of urban situations that challenge conventional planning logics.<br/><br/>Rather than proposing a fixed masterplan, the project operates through fragments and sequences, offering an open-ended framework for urban transformation.
