- <p>This explorative study examines approximately one hundred electronic library homepages. It focuses on four aspects: form, content, structure and user support. Form relates to the presentation of information and is concerned with the relationship between text and graphics. Content refers to the type of information and services that an electronic library offers. Structure is concerned with the guiding principles that have motivated the grouping of information and services on the homepages. The final aspect, user support, covers to what extent various help functions are offered in the examined homepages. <p>I denna magisteruppsats undersöks ett hundratal elektroniska biblioteks hemsidor utifrån de fyra aspekterna form, innehåll, struktur och användarstöd. Med form avses hur informationen presenteras med avseende på text och grafik. Under aspekten innehåll undersöks vilken typ av information och vilka tjänster biblioteken erbjuder. Struktur-aspekten tar upp vilken eller vilka övergripande principer som finns för indelning av information och tjänster på hemsidorna. Slutligen undersöks i vilken utsträckning bibliotekshemsidorna erbjuder användarstöd. Inom varje aspekt formuleras ett antal analytiska kategorier efter vilka hemsidorna kan delas in och beskrivas. Ett av de praktiska resultaten är rekommendationer för vad biblioteken bör tänka på vid utformandet av hemsidor.</p> (Less)
