The mission aims to investigate the possibility to systematically document the knowledge and experience within the context of the daily work in order to safeguard the human capital for more efficient resource allocation, and to prepare recommendations on how the firm Networks Logistics can achieve a more rational knowledge processing. Theoretical perspectives Different approaches and models for knowledge management are weighed against each other to create a broader understanding of the area of knowledge. Theories of learning organization, tacit and explicit knowledge and information space and the social learning cycle is processed and put into a relationship with the real case. Empirical foundation Here we present the information collected from the case company Network Logistics. The chapter also contains results from the interviews and investigations carried out. Survey results presented at a high level of detail and many quotes are used to give the reader a profound understanding of the findings. Conclusion The Authorteam stresses that the development of the company’s human capital is driven by the choice of clients. Right knowledge management strategy must adapt to the organization’s underlying operations. Companies tend to pay attention to the possibility of saving money rather than the potential for increased revenue KM entails. (Less)
