- The urbanization term is widely used in contexts, when discussing urban emergence. However, the term linked to processes multidimensional which requires a wide perspective on what forms the basis for changes in the landscape. It is not only the origin that is essential in urban development matters, but also how the multi-dimensional processes vary with different factors in the landscape over time, that is, how and why an urban environment continues to be continuous. What conditions in the landscape can be seen as best suited for an urban process? What has promoted continuity in some urban environments, and why have others faded?
