The authorities who have participated in the study are two governmental, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service and one local, the Municipality of Social Services. To achieve the purpose of this study, we have performed nine structured interviews, three interviews with each authority.
We have chosen these three authorities, because they all have an important role in the Swedish rehabilitation reform. In our study we have found that the authorities have different perceptions of how cooperation between them works. The study also shows that the different regulations and practices of the authorities hamper easy interaction. It is also shown that the administrative officers of the different authorities are not sure of their professional roles and the division of responsibility between the authorities. (Less)
