Fiber noise cancellation
(2012) In Lund Reports in Atomic Physics PHYM01 20112Atomic Physics
- Abstract
- Optical fibers induces phase noise when used to transmit a laser beam due to its small variations in optical length caused by temperature- or pressure changes, or vibrations.
This induced phase noise, called fiber noise, is often neglectable, but when used to transmit laser beams with extremely narrow linewidth this fiber noise is of great importance.
This thesis work present a way to cancel the fiber noise in an optical fiber.
