Therefore several feminists and their approaches to technology, sex work and pornography are discussed and compared to evaluate if the work of cam-girls could be feministic. This study is analyses text and symbols in interviews and studies in web articles, journal articles, e-books, documentaries and YouTube-videos. The study uses secondary sources exclusively. The findings of the study show that cam-girls have found positive aspects of their work that are made possible through the digital nature of camming. The possibility of interaction can mean personal and strong relationships between cam-girls and their consumers, which is financially beneficial for the women. However, researchers and cam-girls have also found aspects that can be negative with camming and cause cam-girls to quit. The digital nature of camming may make threats to cam-girls harder to notice because enemies can hide behind anonymity. Furthermore the feminist debate surrounding porn shows the complexity of determining if cam-girls’ videos can be considered feminist porn, because it depends on which feminist approach you take.
