Abstract
Every year politicians resign because of political scandals. The scandals are of various kinds and can for example be a controversial statement or that the politician intentionally or unintentionally forgot to pay his taxes. But how come some politicians must resign when others doesn’t? Previous research has stated that there is a difference between how men and women are presented in political scandals, and further that a party should treat a scandal more seriously if the party’s core values are threatened.
