Determinants of Female Labor Supply and Female Wage Form

Abstract
This study investigates the factors that influence female's labour supply and their wage forms. Human capital, demographic, social, and cultural factors were used to explore their impact on female labour supply and female wage form using a multinomial logistic model. The data for this study were employed from the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) conducted in the Gambia in 2013. The result indicated that women in the urban areas are more likely to be in the category working than worked in the past 12 months compared to rural women who are mostly involved in seasonal work.
