- Abstract
- Postcolonial feminist theory says that ones identity is constructed by several

changing, as their constructing factors. These factors, as well as our identities, are
affected and created from inside and outside of our group of belonging. Hence,
identification by other as well as self identification creates our identities. I found
that the Bosnian women that I interviewed in many ways changed the way in
witch they perceive themselves and their reality because of the changed social
context. In other ways though, they tried to remain the same, holding on to what
they call a Bosnian identity. Because of this I believe that we can?t talk about an
identity shift sense the change in their identities hasn?t been that drastic. But
nevertheless there has been an important change witch confirms the postcolonial
feminist theories about fluctuating identity. (Less)
