- Abstract
- According to the Swedish Red Cross, there are over 40 million people fleeing from war and conflict around the world. Some of these individuals are suffering from a disorder named PTSD (Post Traumatic Disorder Syndrome). This disorder is caused by previous experience incurred by war, conflict and violence. I have chosen the qualitative method when conducting my interviews. I have also chosen a theory evolving around Exigo and PTSD. I have made use of the following theories in my essay. The theories applied are Empowerment, Labelling and KASAM. My conclusion in the study has been based on Exigo and what it stands for.
I have understood that Exigo helps individuals in finding the right path by aide of knowledge, experience and competence. People suffering from PTSD needed the skills which are made available by Exigo. (Less)
