Social Network Analysis and the Local Web Community Möllevången.net - A Role and Attribute Analysis of this Online Web Community Members's Relations

Abstract
Möllevången.net is a web community in the Swedish neighborhood Möllevången in Malmö. A social network analysis was made on the community's internal postal service to examine the amount of role groups there were, consisting of the community members, and what was characteristic about each group's communication behavior pattern online. Thereafter a Chi-Square analysis was made to examine if there was a relation between communication behavior pattern and individual personal attributes like gender, age, ethnicity etc. The hypothesis that marital status had the biggest impact on the different online communication pattern could not be verified.
