Discourse as a tool for change at Aljafería : a case study of how to develop the mediation of an architectural heritage visitor attraction

Abstract
This thesis is a case study of a Spanish castle called Aljafería. The objective of the study was to develop the mediation of this particular castle and to construct a research design that could be used to develop the mediation of other architectural heritage visitor attractions. The research design emerged during the course of the case study, using a grounded method perspective. The most dominant element of the research design is a productive discourse analysis, using discourse analysis as a practical tool while generating ideas of development.
