- Abstract
- Over the last years there has been a considerable change in Swedish municipals. Through studying quantitative data from each of the municipals with a rainbow coalition in majority I can locate where they are most likely to appear. It is clear that they are more frequent in small municipals than in big ones.
By sorting out eight of the municipals and performing interviews with the leading politician in the coalition I can put forward a few explanations to why these municipals have a rainbow coalition. The result of the interviews is that explanations that lie on an individual level is a large explaining factor to why rainbow coalitions form. (Less)
