We made a vignette study, which means that we based the interviews on two cases and asked questions about them. That gave us an opportunity to break through the rhetoric and see how the professionals think in each case. There is a discrepancy between what they say they would do and what they really do. In general they think the sex does matter in drug treatment, but when it comes to specific cases, the drug treatment model is more important. We found this discovery very interesting and also alarming. (Less)
