The study was based on a qualitative method with interviews with pupils, schoolteachers and vocational guides combined with some quantitative data I used as a background to my main study. As an theoretical perspective I used the theories of Bourdieu, and I also compared my study with earlier research projects. The result was that like earlier studys had shown, different factors like gender, parents, friends, family economy and education level of the parents, school milieu and housing could more or less affect school achievement and the choice of further education.
