- Abstract
- The goal for this essay was to achieve knowledge about the discoveries and experiences with the Marte Meo- method through the interviews with professional social workers and a client. The four questions in the essay were: · What expectations did the social workers have of the lessons in the method? · What experiences did they have of the lessons in the method? · What expectations did the social workers, their mangers, and the client have of the method as a treatment? · What experiences did these people have from the change through the Marte Meo treatment? - The goal for this essay was to achieve knowledge about the discoveries and experiences with the Marte Meo- method through the interviews with professional social workers and a client. The four questions in the essay were: · What expectations did the social workers have of the lessons in the method? · What experiences did they have of the lessons in the method? · What expectations did the social workers, their mangers, and the client have of the method as a treatment? · What experiences did these people have from the change through the Marte Meo treatment? In order to analyse my empiric material I used a qualitative method. The social workers expectations of the lesson was to give them new tools to discover disturbances in a family relationship. The social workers feel that they have a considerable usage of the method both as a method for treating as well as the usage in the everyday work. The interviewed client could, dispite her negative prior attitude, after only two representations see positive collaborating sequences which she considered worth building on together with her daughter. This essay has given me valuable knowledge in my work as a trained social worker. (Less)
