- Abstract
- Our purpose was to study different actors opinion about what reasons there are to homelessness among young abusers in Malmö. When we are talking about young abusers we mean those who are under 25 years old. Our central questions were: Which reasons could different actors see? Were the actor’s view of the reasons the same or were there any difference? How was the cooperation between the different actors? What thought the actors about the treatment of the young homeless? Thought the actors that the homeless youth were a group who increased? We chose to use the qualitative method because we thought that case study and interviews were the best for our kind of study. All the actors agreed that the housing policy and bad family circumstances were the most important reasons to homelessness among young people. Other reasons that were important were abuse, the labour market, a big immigration and a new university college. The cooperation was quite good. The treatments of the young people were not always satisfied, one of the reasons was because there were communication problems between the social worker and the client. All the actors expected an increase of the problem. (Less)
