The difficulties are mainly experienced in the work with dead children while the joy is the meeting with their survivors and what they can do for them as well as the varied work. The professionals’ experiences of other people’s perceptions of their profession are often dark and gloomy but at the same time there is a curiosity around their line of work. The recruitment situation is positive, it is not hard to get people to these professions. The reason for the informants’ choice of profession was active choice, coincidence or inheritance. The driving force in these professions are described as doing a good job, taking on challenges, receiving gratitude and confirmation and to help people in their sorrow. For those working within the church God is the main driving force. (Less)
