- Abstract
- This essay examines how the individual is portrayed in a driving education material with preferential right of interpretation, published by Sveriges Trafikskolors Riksförbund. On the basis of a critical discourse analysis, I have tried to get close to the discourses and conceptions regarding the individual, in relation to the traffic. In cooperation with a social constructionist outlook and gender perspective I have been able to interpret that two out of three publications by STR is functioning normative and reproducing of stereotype gender figures, which is based on the believe of biological gender differences. - Denna uppsats undersöker hur individen framställs i ett körutbildningsmaterial med tolkningsföreträde, publicerat av Sveriges Trafikskolors Riksförbund. Utifrån en kritisk diskursanalys har jag sökt närma mig skrifternas diskurser och föreställningar om individen i förhållande till trafiken. I samverkan med ett socialkonstruktionistiskt synsätt och genusperspektiv har jag kunnat uttyda att två av tre publikationer av STR, fungerar normerande och reproducerande av stereotypa könsfigurer, vilka baseras på tron om biologiska könsskillnader. Jag har också kunnat urskilja särartsfeministiska drag i en av publikationerna, samt att en publikation skiljer sig från de andra genom sin betoning på individers olika förutsättningar och inte könens.
