Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
This essay examines how employees in a small company (13 employees) in southern Sweden describe their experiences of conflicts in their workplace. A qualitative emergent design was used, and participants were given an open question and were asked to complete a written answer to it. The material was analyzed through an intuitive phenomenological approach as well as through a lexicalical analysis in the Sphinx Lexica computer program and through a comparative analysis, examining the material in the light of prior research and theories. Results show that participants describe their experiences of conflict in the workplace as emotional and with specific notions of roles and responsibilities, communication, jealousy and injustice, respect,... The material was analyzed through an intuitive phenomenological approach as well as through a lexicalical analysis in the Sphinx Lexica computer program and through a comparative analysis, examining the material in the light of prior research and theories. Results show that participants describe their experiences of conflict in the workplace as emotional and with specific notions of roles and responsibilities, communication, jealousy and injustice, respect, bullshit/gossip and possibilities. Prior research and theories in the area of conflict in the workplace, does to some degree but not sufficiently explain and describe the participants’ experiences. (Less)
