The abusive women are more stigmatized than the abusive men because they don’t take responsibility for their family. The result showed that The Social Service is in charge of this group of women. They could offer the women company and support if there were a trial against the perpetrator coming up and finally they could offer the women private interviews. The help that was missing was a safe location for the women to reside at.
We have chosen a qualitative approach and we have analyzed the information from four theoretical perspectives gender, stigma, male dominance and the normalization process. (Less)
