Abstract
Beginning with researching past, present and future tent structures, analyzing
the tent market and the use of party tents, the initial aim of creating a truly
modular party tent that is suited for its purpose was processed, discussed and
refined into four design directions.
With help from a thorough function analysis and evaluation, a winning direction
was chosen and developed further. With help from structural mechanics and
further research, the design detailing, such as material selection, color, graphics
and features was set, sponsors were found and a functional, full scale model of
the tent was made. The result is this report, acting as a documentation of the design process, and
four working prototypes of the tent modules,... (More)

The Harlekin tent was exhibited at CODE 09 during Copenhagen furniture fair
in in August 2009 and at the master degree show Process in Lund in September
