The analysis of Dallas is carried out with the group interest theory created by Karen M. Kaufmann. This theory aims to explain local voting behavior in mayoral elections. In the case of Dallas there is no major indication of heightened group conflicts around the time of mayoral elections, although the city in itself is highly segregated. (Less)
