The purpose of this thesis is to examine which measures Sweden can take in its next National
Action Plan for Human Rights so guarantee unaccompanied children's rights according to the CRC. What changes should Sweden do in its national action plan so The Committee on the Rights of the Child shall consider Sweden has met its obligations under the CRC on the issue of
unaccompanied children?
This thesis presents a number of concrete proposals for action, including that Sweden shall review the existing legislation on trustee for unaccompanied children. The importance of education in children's rights should be emphasized and Sweden should also discuss the adoption
of a national plan of action on children. (Less)
