This paper seeks to answer the question: How can the instrumental teacher create the conditions for pupils to develop their musical creativity? affect creativity. Various concepts related to creativity are highlighted, such as “lateral thinking”, “intuition”, “improvisation” and “flow”. The relationship between knowledge and creativity, what can hinder creativity and creativity in teaching are other aspects which are
discussed. The conclusions of the study concern basic approaches to the educational work, different methods to work with creativity in instrumental teaching and other aspects that affect the conditions for pupils to develop their musical creativity.
Denna uppsats söker besvara frågan: Hur kan man som instrumentalpedagog skapa förutsättningar för eleven att utveckla sin musikaliska kreativitet? Studien grundar sig på kvalitativa intervjuer med tre personer som både är professionellt verksamma musiker och pedagoger. Det som framkommer i intervjuerna tillsammans med den teoretiska bakgrunden
ligger till grund för slutsatserna. Den teoretiska bakgrunden innehåller en kort historik om kreativitetsforskning och begreppet kreativitet. Teorikapitlet tar vidare upp hur sociala relationer och miljö kan påverka
kreativitet. Olika begrepp som är kopplade till kreativitet belyses som lateralt tänkande, intuition, improvisation och flow. Sambandet mellan kunskap och kreativitet, vad som kan hindra kreativitet och kreativitet i undervisning är andra aspekter som teorikapitlet belyser. Slutsatserna i studien berör det pedagogiska arbetet, metoder för att arbeta med kreativitet i instrumentalundervisning och övriga aspekter som påverkar förutsättningarna för eleven att utveckla sin musikaliska kreativitet.
