Konstpedagogernas nya identitet : en analys av Kultur Skånes nya uppdrag för kulturpedagogik

Abstract
The cultural board of region Skåne decided fall of 2008 to reorganize the fundings of the cultural pedagogy. What the reorganization implicates is that the everyday practice of the pedagogues will not be paid for by the region, and instead the pedagogues will focus on capacity building and competence maintaining towards all of those who work pedagogically with children. They will work in five different groups, each one with different themes. What this thesis deals with is what this reorganization means and how it affects the pedagogues in their professional lives. The cultural board of region Skåne decided fall of 2008 to reorganize the fundings of the cultural pedagogy. What the reorganization implicates is that the everyday practice of the pedagogues will not be paid for by the region, and instead the pedagogues will focus on capacity building and competence maintaining towards all of those who work pedagogically with children. They will work in five different groups, each one with different themes. What this thesis deals with is what this reorganization means and how it affects the pedagogues in their professional lives. Focusing this thesis on the art pedagogues from a specific group, I bring up problems that might occur as well as possibilities. I am using a qualitative method, where I have been speaking with a number of affected persons at a number of times. These are active pedagogues from two art
museums involved in the reorganization and the branch head of cultural development for children and youths who had the task of producing the reorganization. I am also using the documents that were the foundation for the decision of the reorganization. My theoretical basis is Eilean Hooper-Greenhills writing on the postmodernist museum, where questions
about the way we perceive education are central. The results of the analysis in the thesis are that although the reorganization brings positive aspects, such as heightening the status of the pedagogues compared to researchers and curators, and deepening the knowledge of
theories and methods, problems will arise that need to be tended to. Problems such as economy and the everyday practice of the pedagogues, where the money will come from when it no longer comes from the region. Furthermore I will explore some ways of compromising to partially remove the problems. Ways to do this is for example to incorporate the further training with the universities to be able to give university credits. (Less)
