Abstract (Swedish)

Since this study regards cooperation, the theories neo-functionalism and liberal intergovernmental theory have been chosen because they provide opposite views on the reasons and factors for integration. A couple of articles from newspapers’ Internet based archives have been used to explain
similarities and differences within the asylum politics. The main highlights and conclusion of the analysis are the consequences of
countries not meeting the minimum standards. The conclusion is that there are some common regulations within the cooperation regarding asylum politics, but the deficiencies in the shared politics make it difficult for member states to meet some of the other regulations. (Less)
