Title: Practising and reflecting - piano students' view
Practicing gives a unique opportunity to be reflective and to have the learning process in our own hands. To develop as a musician is a multifaceted challenge and a life-long process. The first part of this study is devoted to a review of literature and previous studies in the field. process? A practice journal adapted for children was used and interviews were conducted. Themes related to different topics concerning practice were found. The result indicates that the students actually do use conscious strategies and that they are able to describe their practise,

Övning ger en unik möjlighet att vara reflekterande och att ha sitt lärande i sina egna händer. Det är en mångfacetterad utmaning och en livslång process att utvecklas som musiker. En litteratur och forskningsöversikt relaterad till övning inleder denna uppsats. Denna kvalitativa aktionsforskande studie har som huvudsyfte att undersöka hur tio av mina pianoelevers övningsprocess vid instrumentet ser ut och upplevs. Eleverna är från 7 till 16 år. Använder de genomtänkta övningsstrategier och reflekterar de över sin egen utveckling? Hur beskriver de detta? En enkel övningsjournal användes och intervjuer gjordes.
