Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore the eviction process from a cooperation perspective and how a community in a welfare state works with households in risk of eviction, that not already were in the social system regarding to addiction- and medical problems.

The eviction process with an outcome leading to households losing their homes is in its organization according to Swedish laws, a process that is demanding and rapid. In the beginning of our study we were unclear of the process, but when we decided to look into the problem in how organizations involved, handled the issue instead of focusing of individual households and their experiences it cleared later on that the main subject working with this target group was how to prevent eviction. We discussed this issue with professionals in a Swedish community. The analysis was based on two theories: one focusing at the structural perspective and one focusing how involved participants deal with stigma. We have also used international research that focuses on two themes in the eviction process to prevent evictions; silent and loud signals and systematic and integrated approach designed for households. We discovered that there is an eviction network established among social, housing and medical professionals in the community we have researched in order to prevent eviction and support households in risk of eviction. The eviction network has created ways of operational methods between the participants so they easily can discuss routines and solutions in an eviction context between each other, without being caught in heavy procedures regarding to laws and bureaucracy.
