Att komponera konstmusik - Kompositionsstudenters lärande och arbetssätt ur ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv

Abstract (Swedish)
Föreliggande studie presenterar ämnen knutna till utbildning av kompositörer på professionell nivå på Musikhögskolan i Malmö. Studien har fokuserat på att belysa lärandet och arbetssätten inom komposition av västerländsk konstmusik. Teoretiskt ramverk för studien har varit Gadamers hermeneutik och texter av bland annat Platon, Aristoteles, Nietzsche, Diderot, Larsson och Bergson. Dessa texter behandlar skapandets teori och filosofi. Resultatet visar utifrån min empiri att skapandet av musik är en process som kännetecknas av olika faser där dessa kräver olika hög grad av reflektion. Vissa skeden av

kompositionsprocessen är mer känsliga för yttre påverkan som exempelvis diskussion, vilket genom att sätta igång analytiska tankeprocesser kan bromsa den skapande kraften. I andra skeden av processen är diskussion och analys istället något som hjälper processen framåt. Vidare visar studien att olika studenter beskriver sina behov av undervisning på klart skilda sätt. Detta leder till slutsatsen att samma typ av undervisning och dess innehåll av olika studenter kan uppfattas på klart olika sätt. (Less)

analytical train of thought and thus become a hindrance to the creative force. In other stages of the process however, discussion and analysis can help the process to move forward. Furthermore, this study shows that different students describe their educational needs differently. This leads to the conclusion that the same education and its content can be
interpreted differently by different persons. (Less)
