- Abstract
- The existing Swedish regulation of fire dimensioning regarding structures are separated into two separate parts which isn’t unproblematic. This sets demands for a new regulation based on a holistic view that can reveal how a fire in a compartment can affects the whole building. This compared to the existing demands that only could quantify a certain time limit as a demand in only a single fire cell. This report is an attempt to evaluate the existing demands and compare them against more future like demands. In order to accomplish this literature study and model build have been accomplished in order to build up a model that can evaluate the existing demands. The new model differs in several ways from the old one, for example how the fire gas temperature is describe and how uncertainties are handled. The evaluation of the existing demands has shown that they are suitable in some cases and thereby that the demands today are suitable for the moment. But in the future the model has to change because a divide demand for building regulations isn’t an appropriate alternative for the future. (Less)
