Abstract
In a passive house, the main source for heating is made out of human presence and its heat pro- ducing activities, which means that the need space heating is minimized. This is possible thanks to its air tight and well isolated construction, but it also demands awareness from its user to de- crease the use of energy and to gain a good indoor climate. This analysis investigates whether the passive house is sensitive for normal usage and discusses what the concept is expecting from the user to fulfill these. The report claims that a passive house concept cannot be considered to be robust, due to the fact that it demands an almost flawless behavior by the user. Furthermore de- velopers generally do not handle uncertainties factors related to... (More)
