Abstract
The purpose of this report was to make an evaluation of the fire safety of Dalheimers Hus in Gothenburg, Sweden. Dalheimers Hus is a nine storey building with a rehabilitation center for disabled people. An evaluation of the fire safety concerning fire development, smoke layer height and evacuation times was made. Different fire scenarios were studied and simulated in FAST/CFAST to get the time when critical conditions occurred in the rooms. The evacuation times were simulated with Simulex and compared with the values from FAST/CFAST. The report does not concern protection of property, but focuses on the safety of people when egressing.
