Abstract
This report presents a fire safety evaluation of a nursing home, Danvikshemmet in Nacka, Sweden. Danvikshemmet was visited in the beginnig of the work to get a better understanding of the building and present fire safety. The fire saftey at Danvikshemmet has been evaluated
with four different fire scenarios on different floors. Fire growth, smoke filling, temperature increse and evacuation have been simulated and calulated with the help of computer modeling. Programs such as FAST and ERM have been used. Other methods of calculating the smoke filling and fire growth have been used to vaildate the computer programs.
