- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to look at the motivation of the two ensemble groups in a high school with an arts program. Two ensembles have been observed in a situation where there is one ensemble teacher, and in the absence of teachers. The participants, all except the teacher, have since been interviewed using qualitative interviews. Discussion is about how formal and informal learning has an impact on student motivation. The results are that informal learning in formal situations has a positive impact on student motivation.

- Studiens syfte är att titta på hur motivationen i ensemblegrupper på ett estetiskt gymnasium
påverkas av att ha respektive inte ha en lärare som formell ledare. Två ensembler har observerats i en situation med en ensemblelärare samt i en situation utan lärare. De deltagande eleverna intervjuades med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer. Bland resultaten kan nämna att informellt lärande i formella situationer har en positiv inverkan på elevernas motivation.
