Leadership can be expressed within the school system, managing the business and at home. Something that is essential and important in leadership research is the perception of male and female leaders/ managers.
This essay addresses the question whether there are distinct differences between male and female leaders/ managers. This study is based on theories of leadership properties and leader styles. The theories have been used to analyze the outcome of the interviews. The empirical material is based on structured interviews with 10 leaders and managers within the municipality of Lund.

The other conclusion is that the female leaders think that it is of a important part that you are analytical in your work as a leader or manager. Only one of the male leaders that contains in the interviews chose analytical as a leader property.
This study is also presenting that and democratically leader style is the style that is dominating the leadership in organizations. (Less)
