Abstract
The Swedish democrats crossed the four percent threshold for parliament representation in Sweden for the first time in the election 2010. This controversial party has teared open a lot of emotion in the Swedish debates, mostly because of their anti-immigrant politics. The Swedish democrats politics all weigh heavily upon a clear distinction between the swedes and the non- swedes. The party appears to act in a context colored by orientalism, creating a clear category of ”the others”. They argue the importance for a homogeneous Swedish culture and therefore also argue for the so called capital failure of the multicultural society.
