The main conclusion of our survey was that women in the Indian society find their feminine gender role in a positive way even though they still are being denied social opportunities. Education proved to be of great importance for the women in order to achieve gender equality in the Indian society. The Indian culture still has a strongly affect on the stereotypical gender role, and the definition of equality is rather complex because of that. (Less)
