Through interviews with two nonprofit organizations in Stockholm, this study examines how these organizations define and understand gender perspectives in relation to their activities. It suggests that, despite their good intentions, the activities arranged by the nonprofit organizations are informed to a great extent by a very limited understanding of migrant people in Swedish society.
