Alkalisering vid konstgjord infiltration : en vattenkemisk studie i tre vattentäkter i sydöstra Småland

Abstract
A water chemistry study has been made at three public water
supplies with artificial recharge in the county of Småland in
the south of Sweden. At the water system of Emmaboda the surface
water has been treated with slaked lime and at the water system of Kosta with soda ash. The aim of this study was to show whether the alkalization has changed the quality of the artificial ground water regarding its content of iron, aluminum, calcium and its alkalinity. In Kosta a significant increase in alkalinity was found after alkalization was begun. No significant change in iron and aluminum content was found. A correlation (r=0,724) between aluminum concentration and average monthly precipitation before water sampling, was established.

The results obtained from the water supply of Emmaboda
indicate an increase in calcium content and in alkalinity due
to the liming. At a distance of 12 km upstreams the water
supply of Lindås lake liming mith powdered limestone has been made since 1980. This water system was studied in order to show whether the lake liming has changed the calcium content of the artificial ground water. There was no significant change in calcium content. (Less)

Sammanfattning: Tre kommunala vattentäkter med konstgjord infiltration i sydöstra Småland har studerats. I Emmaboda vattentäkt har infiltrationsvattnet alkaliserats med släckt kalk sedan 1977 och i Kosta med soda sedan 1985.
Målsättningen med studien har varit att påvisa förändring i totalhårdhet, alkalinitet samt aluminium- och järnhalt för det konstgjorda grundvattnet sedan alkaliseringen påbörjats.
Resultat av alkaliseringen i Kosta:
-en signifikant ökning av alkalinitet
-ej signifikanta skillnader i järn-och aluminiumhalt
En korrelation (r=0,724 p<O,Ol) mellan aluminiumhalt och månadsmedelnederbörd före vattenprovtagning har påvisats i Kosta.

Lindås vattentäkt har studerats för att påvisa om kalkning 12
km uppströms vattenverket påverkat det konstgjorda grundvattnets
totalhårdhet.
Det föreligger ingen signifikant skillnad av totalhårdheten
efter start med kalkning 1980.
Ett annat syfte med studien har varit att beräkna blandningsförhållandet
mellan infiltrationsvatten och naturligt grundvatten.
Med undantag aven kort period i Emmaboda vattentäkt
har dessa beräkningar ej kunnat göras på grund av för få analyser. (Less)
