Abstract
This paper is an examination work, initiated by E. Lagerlund, who has carried out investigations on the lithostratigraphy at the Margreteberg site on Rydsbjär, southern Halland. Lagerlund et.al.(l984) found a sea level at 50m a.s.l at
the time of the deglaciation in the area. A regression down to at least 35m
a.s.l was followed by a transgression to the highest shore line. Previous investigations of the highest shore line in the area have shown levels at about 64m a.s.l. A geological map showing the Quaternary deposits and bedrock outcrops were made. The mapping was succeeded by investigations of pits, dug at different locations from 50 to 84m a.s.l. Sorted sediment were found to reach altitudes of 63-90m a.s.l around the drumlinized... (More)

Sorted sediment were found to reach altitudes of 63-90m a.s.l around the drumlinized Rydsbjär hill. These sediments were interpreted as waterlain sediments up to at least 69m a.s.l. At this level we found sediments constantly around the hill. The sorted material above this level needs further investigations conserning it's genesis. According to our investigations we can locate the highest shore level to at leaast 69m a.s.l on Rydsbjär. (Less)
