Kartläggning av grundvattenförhållandena i ett delområde av provinsen Nord Kordofan, Sudan
(1984) In Examensarbeten i geologi vid Lunds universitetDepartment of Geology
- Abstract
- Fresh water is a scarcity in the North Kordofan province in the Sudan. The need for new sources of water is large. This work deals with the problem of locating the groundwater aquifers used today and to find areas with groundwater potentials for development in the future. The technique used is a combination of different information sources, mainly; litterature, interpreted satellite images and computer processed well data. A number of maps and figures are produced this way showing the following:
1.
Soil and Geology.
2.
Land infiltration potential.
3.
Small groundwater aquifers at low level.
4.
Precipitation.
5.
Groundwater level fluctuations.
6.
Groundwater capacity fluctuations.
7.
Profiles showing soil and geology in areas... (More) - Fresh water is a scarcity in the North Kordofan province in the Sudan. The need for new sources of water is large.
