- Abstract
- The aim of this essay was to examine women who had their first child in the ages of 18-19 years old and their experiences of being a young mother in the Helsingborg municipality and to examine if there is any support for these women in the Helsingborg municipality. The method was based on a qualitative study with semi-structured interviews with three mothers and two professional social workers. The main outcomes from this study was that teen-mums are feeling stigmatized in the Helsingborg municipality and also that the support from family, partners and friends are important for teen-mums.
