Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
Based on a flexible work environment with demands for creativity, the purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between estimated creative leadership and subjective well-being among the employees. The purpose was also to examine the correlation between creative leadership and creative organization, and how well these variables can be used to predict employee well-being. Furthermore, the study aimed at investigating whether there is any discrepancy between how managers perceive their own creative leadership style and how employees perceive their manager’s creative leadership style. An internet based survey was distributed to six Swedish companies. A total of 50 questionnaires were completed and could be included in the... (More)
Based on a flexible work environment with demands for creativity, the purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between estimated creative leadership and subjective well-being among the employees. A total of 50 questionnaires were completed and could be included in the analysis. 13 of those were managers and 37 were employees. The results indicated no significant correlation between neither creative leadership and subjective well-being, nor creative organization and subjective well-being. However, a significant correlation was found between creative leadership and creative organization. The regression analysis also indicated that about 10 % of the variance in the variable creative organization can be predicted from creative leadership, and vice versa. The analysis of the discrepancy did not indicate a significant difference between managers' and employees' perceptions of leadership style. Based on the results of the study, plausible explanations as to why some of our results do not support previous research, were discussed. (Less)
