Abstract
Previous research has shown that stereotype congruent information is related to more recognitionbias than stereotype incongruent information regarding the beautiful is good stereotype. The purpose of this study was to examine the memory effects of the beautiful is good- stereotype by using an experiment testing the implicit and explicit attitude and recognitionbias. In addition the experiment seeks to examine if propositional processes can be evaluated differently in implicit and explicit memory. A threeway ANOVA was conducted and the results show neither interaction nor main effects for any of the variables. We also examined possible correlations and found only two significant correlations regarding propositional processes that suggest... (More)

We also examined possible correlations and found only two significant correlations regarding propositional processes that suggest that we don’t differentiate between different kinds of propositions in implicit or explicit memory. In conclusion, we found no significant effects for recognitionbias for stereotype congruent information regarding beautiful is good- stereotype or propositional processes. (Less)
